When we work with a new client, the first three things we focus on are:

    • Backups - we support a range of products and techniques for backup. Each is designed to fit a different technology and budget. The most effective backups today are offsite backups that have specific backup technology for the databases that your business uses (such as Outlook, Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft SQL).
    • Security / Firewall - Most businesses need a business class firewall. These firewalls provide security services that protect a business from outside attack and just as important is protection from mistakes within. For example, if an employee types in a google search and clicks on a bad link, the result can be disastrous causing virus damage and data loss. A good business class firewall can protect your business from this and keep your employees off of personal sites like MySpace.com, etc.
    • Antivirus / Spyware - Antivirus and Spyware is well known as a threat to businesses. We highly recommend a network based software package that has a central administration and license. This reduces the chance of having one or two licenses that are out of date, provides a single application to check the status of all systems on your network and are generally cheaper per computer per year than the retail or online personal products.
